Bill Gates left the Microsoft board of directors, will now do this work

Tech company Microsoft has announced that co-founder Bill Gates has resigned from the company's board of directors.The company said that Bill Gates now wants to give more time to social work. Microsoft said that Gates is keen to do more work for global health and education. That is why they are giving up this responsibility.

The 64-year-old Gates had quit joining the day-to-day work of the office almost a decade ago. However, he will be associated with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella as technical advisor. By the beginning of 2014, Gates was serving as chairman of Microsoft's Board of Directors and is now moving away from here.

"Working and learning with Bill for so many years is a matter of great honor and privilege,"Microsoft's chief executive officer and company veteran Satya Nadella said in a release. Nadella also said that Gates will be associated with the company as a technical advisor and we will keep taking advice from him.

Gates resigned as Microsoft CEO in 2000, and the company's command was given to Steve Ballmer. Gates also left the post of chairman in 2014 after Satya Nadella became the CEO of Microsoft. Bill Gates's name is regularly in the list of world's richest people. It is said that he started programming from the age of 13.
